Incredibly intricate, geometric patterned, enamel and brass construction. The cloisonné is made by the ancient technique for metal decoration. The brass compartments are first added to the jar by fixing the thin brass strips on the jar’s edges. Then the jar is covered with enamel powder made into paste, which then needs to be fired in a kiln, resulting in vividly colored compartments with vitreous enamel. The brass remains visible in the finished piece and separates the different compartments. Comes with 10” harp. See less
