These beautiful cantilever chairs were designed by Axel Brüchhauser in collaboration with Jean Prouvé, Mart Stam and Marcel Breuer in … Read more These beautiful cantilever chairs were designed by Axel Brüchhauser in collaboration with Jean Prouvé, Mart Stam and Marcel Breuer in the 1980s. These B20 dining chairs were manufactured by Tecta, Germany. The chairs have a cantilever style base, constructed from polished chrome, with a high backed seat. Constructed from hand woven beige plastic reed. The natural aesthetic of the seat offer a juxtaposition to the chrome metal base while enhancing the sleek silhouette of the chair. These chairs are the version with the Jean Prouve development of the "Tube Aplati", a special execution of the pipes on the front, which allows the chairs to be stacked.

These chairs are in great condition for their age with only slight age related marks. Another point to mention is that there are a few missing plastic glides for the feet, however this does not effect the function of these beautiful chairs. They are extremely comfortable due to the cantilever form which provides great support, and comfort.
