This is a lavishly produced book, which is beautifully photographed throughout and comes in a presentation slipcase with illustrations of the Coronation Egg on the front. The book has been produced by the foundation which bought the Faberge Eggs that had been in the Forbes collection of the late Malcolm Forbes and family. The eggs were made by Faberge mainly for the last two Tzars Nicholas ll and his father Alexander lll, who gave these as gifts to their wives Maria Feodorovna and Alexandra and were then sold after the revolution and left Russia. The were bought by a fabulously wealthy Russian citizen and returned home. The text is in both English and Russian. See less
