A vintage ceramic/stoneware figurine / sculpture depicting a bear made by the talented Thomas Hellström for Nittsjö Sweden. This is one of Hellströms' famous animals. This adorable bear was produced in 1962 and quickly became one of his most sought-after creations. It has a very stylized appearance, simple in both design and glazing, yet still so charming. It has a warm red/brown body and details in black and white.
It is 9cm (3.54") high and about 7.5cm (2.95") in diameter, the glazing on one eye is slightly uneven, yet this is just adding charm and it is overall in a great condition. This piece has an attribution mark,
