The composition is rich in detail and presents a scene dominated by nature and architecture. In the foreground, a hilly landscape shows characters in eighteenth-century clothing: a knight on a white steed entering the landscape, and other figures interacting on the right. Next to a small stream with a waterfall, two seated figures add dynamism to the scene.
