The colors are still vibrant and … Read more RARE XL Antique Belgium Tapestry: Gobelins, Jardin Louis XV, made into long decorative pillow. The colors are still vibrant and beautiful, and it is in wonderful condition from a pet and smoke-free home. There is golden rope cording around the edges and the backside is a beige Victorian vine pattern divided into three sections with the same cording. The tapestry is 100% cotton and the reverse side is a nylon polyester upholstery material. The detail is marvelous with images of the elite of the times enjoying the outdoor garden, dancing, music, and being with one another.
It was always used across the bed leaning against the headboard for decoration, so no actual usage as a pillow to sleep. It measures 18” wide and 52” long and is about 7” thick. The tapestry is still intact if you wish to disassemble the pillow and just have the tapestry by itself. A wonderful find! See less
