On the Design:

A rich crimson red field and black medallion underscore a pictorial of a musician’s tools of the trade and butterflies by candlelight—a balalaika, sheet music, an oboe, and a small red opera mask. Keen eyes will further note the artist’s signature “Jean Picart le Doux” in the lower-right field in black letters. Admirers of the craft will particularly enjoy the sharp detail achieved in a work of this period and provenance, as well as the general sense of drama and whimsy such a work enjoys.
