Origin italy period 1947 author benedetto ghivarello (turin, 13 august 1882 – 1955) was an italian painter specializing in landscapes. A pupil of lorenzo delleani and giuseppe scaglia, he made his debut at the second quadrennial of turin in 1908. He participated in numerous exhibitions in turin and genoa, distinguishing himself with works such as the hanged man (1911), preserved in buenos aires, and landscapes such as winter's day and morning of march. Appreciated for his life technique and use of the palette knife, he influenced artists such as giovanni cestari.
