characterised by its bold geometric form, each lamp is composed of two intersecting cylinders, both cut at opposing 45-degree angles to create a distinctive architectural silhouette. The clean lines and carefully balanced proportions reflect hans due's approach to industrial design, where every detail serves both a practical and aesthetic purpose.

the fixed upper cylinder houses the electrical components and incorporates the original cylindrical push switch positioned on the top of the lamp, allowing effortless operation—particularly useful when installed as a bedside reading light. The lower cylinder forms the adjustable shade and rotates through 360 degrees, enabling the light to be directed exactly where required. When illuminated, the narrow gap between the two sections produces a subtle halo of light, emphasising the lamp's sculptural construction.

originally conceived by hans due in metal, the design was reinterpreted by fog & mørup in injection-moulded abs plastic, creating a lighter and more contemporary expression that appealed to the emerging design-conscious market of the late 1970s. Produced in a limited range of colours—including yellow ochre, light grey, red, dark green and chocolate brown—original coloured examples have become increasingly sought after by collectors.

an additional feature of the phister is its versatility. Designed with integrated mounting slots, each lamp can be used either as a wall light or as a freestanding table or bedside lamp.

excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age and use. The original brown abs retains an excellent colour and finish, the rotating shade mechanisms function smoothly, and both lamps are fully operational. Matching pairs in this colour are becoming increasingly scarce.
