the lamp features a solid brass base and stem complemented by a beautifully sculpted solid teak handle, while the adjustable spun aluminium shade is finished in its original grey and white lacquer. A polished brass pivot allows the shade to be angled precisely, making the lamp ideal as a desk lamp, bedside reading light or accent lamp.

an integrated original press switch is discreetly positioned on the base, demonstrating bergström's thoughtful approach to functional design. hans bergström (1910–1996) was one of sweden's foremost lighting designers and the founder of ateljé lyktan. Renowned for combining elegant proportions with technical innovation, bergström created lighting that balanced architectural clarity with warmth and functionality. Alongside his work for ateljé lyktan, he also designed a number of distinguished models for asea, many of which are now highly sought after by collectors of scandinavian modern design.
