Giuseppe Pagano Pogatschnig (1896 - 1945) was an Italian architect and journalist. He completed his architecture studies at the Turin Polytechnic in the early 1920s. In the 1930s he took over the management of the architectural magazine "Casabella" in Milan, which he held until 1943. Together with Gio Ponti he organized the Milan Triennale in 1933 and 1936. from 1940 to 1943 he was editor-in-chief of the architectural magazine Domus. In 1939, Giuseppe Pagano Pogatschnig designed a series of furniture for the Bocconi University in Milan. Including our two chairs, which were only used there and were never produced in large series. Therefore the two chairs are extremely rare. It was produced by the Gino Maggioni company in Varedo. Frame made of dark brown stained plywood. Seat and back made of gray painted molded plywood. A professional restorer gently restored the chairs. He freshly glued and stabilized open connections. Both chairs are therefore in excellent original condition and can therefore be used without restriction. Seat height 45cm. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
