First edition soft covers with slip case. A three volume set with slip case of items auctioned from the Duke and Duchess of Windsor estate on September 11-19, 1997 (which was not held until February 1998 due to the death of Princess Diana.) The first volume is an introduction to the sale and the Windsors. It contains multiple essays on the couple, their lineage, their life, photographs of them, and much more. Volume two contains lots 1-1789 and includes property from the public rooms of the Windsor's former residence in Paris and historical material. Volume 3 contains lots 1790-3111 of the same.
