Secretary is leather lined in a handsome ox blood colored leather with gold banded detailing. There is a visible blemish on leather as pictured. Secretary cubbies and compartments are in good working order. Hinge and lever are in good working order. The triple bubble glass panels feature two working doors on the right and left with working locks and key. One of the brass key holes is missing but does not affect the overall appearance of the piece or the functionality of the lock. The center panel is stationary and does not open. Upper shelves are permanently affixed with etched plate grooves. All drawers open and close smoothly and are dovetailed with brass drawer pulls; all of which are in good working condition. Finish shows some signs of wear and usage, all consistent with the age of the piece. Traditional bracket feet. No maker’s mark present, only a stamped number on the back with the word “Copper” which could be referring to the color of the stain which is a coppery brown stain. This piece comes apart into two pieces for easy transport. See less
