Signed lower left, with the publisher’s blind stamp at the lower right outside the image. The print retains full margins (not trimmed).

The composition illustrates the poetic return of a farmer from the fields at dusk, inspired by a well-known poem by Jules Breton, widely circulated at the time and even copied by Vincent van Gogh in a letter to Anthon van Rappard (1884). The work reflects the lyrical rural themes and refined graphic style characteristic of the celebrated L’Estampe Moderne series.

Condition: excellent with strong colours and only minor signs of age and handling.
