Very rare to find a European trestle … Read more Spectacular country French farmhouse dining table featuring an exotic African mahogany hardwood construction. Very rare to find a European trestle table crafted from exotic hardwood in this size and scale. The table is deceptively heavy and solid having a 3 inch thick mahogany slab top. The top is supported by a large trestle base with curved hourglass shaped legs that gracefully end with 4 inch wide shoe feet. The exotic woodgrains are showcased throughout the table with a rich, dark finish. Strong and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The table has an imposing presence and a more formal aesthetic than most large European oak examples. The legs are conjoined by an exposed mortise and tenon joinery.
