The gold gilt frame has a floral pediment on the top and there is a hanging ring on the back. This beautiful portrait is signed "Sherl or Shert." Measurements for this fabulous creation are: 3-1/2 inches, width side to side=2-1/2 inches. This marvelous miniature portrait has been well cared for, gently displayed and is in excellent antique condition, free from chips, cracks, losses or other imperfections. The front of the gold gilt frame is without losses, but the back has a few, slight losses that do not impact the beauty of this piece and are commensurate with age and use.
