Biography
Kirsten Stolle is a visual artist working in collage, drawing and mixed media. Her research-based practice is grounded in the investigation of environmental issues and the biosphere.

Kirsten was born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1967, her work is included in the permanent collections of the San Jose Museum of Art, (San Jose, CA), Crocker Art Museum, (Sacramento, CA), and the Minneapolis Institute of Art, (Minneapolis, MN).

Solo exhibitions include NOME Gallery (Berlin), Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (NC), Turchin Center for the Visual Arts (NC), Dolby Chadwick Gallery (CA), Roy G Biv Gallery (OH) and Kathryn Markel Fine Arts (NYC).

Group exhibition highlights include the San Jose Museum of Art (CA), , William King Museum (VA), Monterey Museum of Art (CA), Crocker Art Museum (CA), Hunterdon Museum of Art (NJ), Tweed Museum of Art (MN), Riverside Art Museum (CA), Triton Museum of Art (CA),, Roos Arts (NY), Fridman Gallery (NYC), Lesley Heller (NYC) and Jonathan Ferrara Gallery (LA).

She is a recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, a Dave Bown Project Award, as well as grants from the San Francisco Arts Commission, Artists’ Fellowship Inc. See less
