Flavio Poli, murano glass ashtray was one of the modern masters of Murano glass. Born in Chioggia, Italy, Poli began collaborating with Seguso Vetri d'Arte and eventually became its creative director in the second half of the 1930s.
Famous for his designs with submerged glass, known as the 'Sommerso' technique (made by superimposing different layers of glass with a variety of consistency and colors), his works were featured in several editions of the Venice Biennale and the Milan Triennale, as well as in the Universal Exhibition held in Brussels. This piece has an attribution mark,
