The most popular models in biscuit were those made by Dihl et Guérhard. For a long time, they were wrongly attributed to the Italian sculptor Antonio Canova, but since then, originals by Charles-Gabriel Sauvage dit Lemire have been discovered in the Louvre collections. Our two pendant figurines are of fine quality, marked "Canova" and Samson's mark: interlaced S. Condition report: restoration of the book See less
