It is distinguished by a simplified, geometrized design based on three tubes supporting a plate crowning the whole. A striking form is taken by the bulb socket holder: it consists of a cylinder topped with a motif of quadruple plates, mimicking the one enclosing the lamp structure. Simplicity and functionalism are combined with a visually appealing, avant-garde design. Lamp maker frandsen has been in business since 1968, and its founder, benny frandsen, is responsible for numerous iconic designs, popularizing the scandinavian approach to craftsmanship worldwide.
