The beaded trimming along the apron adds a unique feature to the piece. The rectangular tabletop has rounded edges and features a twist and fold out mechanism so it can be used when open (square when open). When the surface is folded back, it serves as an entryway table or console.
There is also a spot on the apron where there used to be a small drawer that got removed and patched (see photos for reference).
