Glamour and travel are as one in this 1930s gem, which offers advice on not only where to go but when to go there. It is organized by the calendar, beginning in January with the southern parts of California or Italy on the itinerary. In February, one must choose between Florida and the Riviera. June is either Paris or San Francisco. Interspersed are numerous “travelcharts” in which the author breaks down what one should do on particular mornings, afternoons, and evenings. In Paris, for example, he advises a morning of sleep in order to prepare for a night on the town. See less
