This is an oil painting on burlap, very peculiar and rare, with gilt wooden frame in which is shown a studio scene of a sailboat designer who is doing a scale model. At the top, a sailboat is sailing in the sea as the designer imagines. It is signed "Kranz" in the lower left. The physiognomy of the man and kind of job which is dedicated, seems to belong to an Arab country.
This piece comes from an estate sale in Miami Beach at the mansion of a wealthy Russian Jewish family who regularly traveled around the world in the second half of the twentieth century.
