This painting was done by the artist Susan Stewart. Here is her description of her thoughts while creating this work.
This Expressionist painting titled "Floating 2" is done with oil on canvas. The size is 24 x 30 inches. The painting done in Blues and Greens to create a cool calm and relaxing feeling of the lakes of Cape Cod. While painting this landscape, I realised that it needed a subject that would finalise the painting. It was only right to have an "imaginary" person floating in this painting and enjoying my imaginary landscape. I think we all need to float more often and just enjoy nature and let everything else go.
