Elegant, festive silver vessel with a wide oval vertical wall standing on four feet attached to the lower rim, central … Read more Elegant, festive silver vessel with a wide oval vertical wall standing on four feet attached to the lower rim, central cartouches on the front and back, supported by a surrounding, relief and openwork flower and leaf interlacing, slightly curved upper edge, two handles attached to the sides in the form of wavy ribbons pulled out of the interlacing. Matching glass insert with curved upper edge and incised arch and fan decoration, as well as a large cut bottom star. Dimensions: Height: 13,0 cm / 5.11 in Width: 46,5 cm / 18.30 in Depth: 26,0 cm / 10.23 in Silver weight: ca. 800 grams / ca. 25.72 troy oz Hallmarks: - Crescent + Crown - German official hallmark from 1888 - 800 - fineness - Eagle mark (rubbed)- Master's sign BRUCKMANN & SONS - Silver goods factory, Heilbronn, Germany, established 1805, Peter Bruckmann (1865-1937) was the first chairman of the 'Deutscher Werkbund', founded in 1907. The Bruckmann company produced numerous precious silver objects designed by well-known designers.
