The wide and generous shelf with an ogee moulding to the edge, sitting above a frieze with plain panels flanking a large carved tablet of foliage and fruit basket. The jambs with carved front panels and carved brackets of conforming fruit and foliage. Typical Victorian style parlour fireplace. This was taken from a large Victorian property in Kensington west London. Restored. gently. See less
