Paul Gorka (1931-2020) - Vintage Fantasy Realist ‘Birds’, Signed (c. 1970, Oil on Canvas). Desolate and stormy landscape with telephone poles with a flock of birds in the sky. A dilapidated telephone pole occupies the foreground. Signed in the lower left quadrant. Housed in a gilt wood frame with a linen matte. In good condition with wear consistent with age.

Paul Gorka (American, 1931-2020) is known for his “fantasy realist” style. A cross between realism and phantasmagoric ambiance. Gorka studied at NYU, Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, and the University of Pennsylvania. His works are included in the permanent collections of PAFA, Museum of Fine Arts in Springfield, Massachusetts, Woodmere Art Museum, among others.
