Antique Mexican Folk Art Earthenware Anthropomorphic Rope Jug. Heavy hand built earthenware anthropomorphic rope jug with painted flourish detail along the center. This jug appears to be wood fired judging by the markings along the bottom. These jugs sometimes are used as vessels for liquid or pulque. This particular jug would have been used by fishermen. Sits on a handmade iron stand. In good condition with wear consistent with age.
