Hand knotted in high quality wool in low pile, the open sand beige Mihrab field design (representing the gateway to paradise) gives dimensionality to the surrounding portrait of finely drawn eight-pointed Solomon stars, lotus palmettes, irises, and tree of life patterns in diverse jasmine blue, rustic red, copper golden yellow, and bold black. Representing the womb, rebirth, religious liberty, and eternal life respectively, the mirroring of the fine star motifs in the innermost and guard borders is complementary to the spacious but stylized middle border.
