Circa 1948 10" Italian Marelli Desk Wall Fan. A true piece of art/design! Manufactured by Marelli this is one of if not the best fan designed with built in versatility. Most Marelli fans of this design were manufactured for use on 220 volt system, this fan is unmarked and we found it to operate wonderfully on 120V AC. During testing for the operating voltage 220V was supplied to the fan which it did not like. Having never seen this fan offered in a black finish with brass cage rings, this may have been a special order. Fan is easly converted for wall use by tilting the motors head back and using the opening on the base will easily hang. Blade is manufactured of Bakelite and displays beautifully. Upon very close inspection, we notice an old repair or seam line at the base on one wing. We have test run the fan for over 20 hours and fan operates very smooth and quiet. An inline Off/On switch is installed on the power cord. Great fan and ideal for various decors while providing a cooling breeze.
