The entire interior desk area, and the entire structure of the cubby storage section, has been painted the plum color. The cubbies section is not attached to the inside of the desk (see photo) and can be removed to make the inside portion more versatile for modern use, i.e. electronics, glassware/bar storage, etc. The three storage drawers have been cleaned and refreshed with a new low-sheen clear coat. The left-hand sliding support for the desktop needs to be pulled out by hand by the tiny new solid brass knob. The righthand support slides out with the original mechanism when opening the desktop. Made by the Morris Furniture Mfg. Co. in Los Angeles, California in the 1940s. Original drawer pulls; no key for the lock. Size: 31" wide x 19" deep and 40.25" tall. Desk knee clearance is 28.5" high. See less
