A rare pair of wall lamps designed by börge lindau & bo lindekrantz for zero interiör (zero lighting), sweden, during the 1980s. These early examples perfectly illustrate the designers' industrial aesthetic, combining precision engineering with clean scandinavian modernist forms.
each lamp features a hooded white lacquered steel shade mounted on a pressed steel wall plate with adjustable pivot and swivel joints, allowing the light to be directed exactly where required. The minimalist construction reflects the functional design philosophy for which lindau & lindekrantz became renowned.
both lamps retain their original long electrical cords with inline switches, original white bakelite e27 bulb holders, and can be mounted as practical reading lights, bedside lamps, or architectural wall lighting.
the restrained white finish and sculptural mechanical joints make these lamps equally suited to contemporary interiors and authentic scandinavian mid-century or postmodern settings.

about börge lindau & bo lindekrantz
swedish designers börge lindau (1932–1999) and bo lindekrantz (1929–2020) were among scandinavia's most influential industrial designers. Working together from the 1960s onwards, they created furniture and lighting distinguished by technical innovation, clean geometry, and functional simplicity. Their work is represented in museum collections and remains highly regarded for its enduring modern aesthetic.
about zero interiör
founded in sweden in 1978 by roland gill and andris nolendorfs, zero interiör was established with the ambition of creating innovative architectural lighting for a design-conscious audience. Before founding the company, both men worked at the lighting division of flygsfors glassworks, where they developed close relationships with designers including börge lindau and bo lindekrantz. The duo became zero's first principal designers, introducing the perforated and folded steel aesthetic that would define the company's early identity. Today, zero lighting is internationally recognised for its commitment to scandinavian design, technical quality, and contemporary architectural lighting.
these early zero wall lamps are increasingly difficult to find as a matching pair. Their combination of refined engineering, adjustable functionality, and minimalist scandinavian design makes them an excellent addition to both vintage and contemporary interiors, as well as a desirable acquisition for collectors of swedish modern lighting.
