This is a large 1960's Italian Majolica "Trompe L'Oeil" lemon filled basket. This is hand painted green, bright yellow, green and light brown combination of colors with a soft glaze. This piece is quite a focal point and is large at 14 inches wide, 10 inches deep and 5 inches high. This could be hung on the wall or as a Centerpiece for a table. The detail and hand molded elements are impressive. This model /figural sculpture is in excellent vintage condition. There is a bit of crazing, but it is typical of potteries of it's age. and we see no chips.
