The chairs feature an … Read more Distinctive 19th century set of six English Regency bronze mounted walnut dining armchairs or library armchairs. The chairs feature an Arts & Crafts era needlepoint decorated seat with brown velvet borders and brass tack nailhead trim. Substantial armchairs weighing nearly 25 pounds with radiant grained walnut frames. The bronze mounted gracefully curved arms support a klismos style tablet backrest. The elegant saber style legs all end with brass sabots. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a lovely vintage aged patina on the walnut finish. Very comfortable and presentable. From an estate in Santa Barbara, CA. Arm height is 27"h.
