Vintage Persian Sultanabad Rug On Ivory Field With Hints of Red and Blue 11'1"x14'6". Keivan Woven Arts / country of origin / type: Iran / Sultanabad, circa Late-20th Century.
This beautiful and large vintage Persian Sultanabad rug displays a gorgeous, all-over sub-geometric design paired with a rich palette of Ivory background and soft red border. The ivory field plays host to a wide variety of decorative palmettes and other flora. The two-tiered inner and outer guards are composed of repeating flower patterns. The main border has an illuminated pattern of acanthus leaves and various palmettes, all rendered in lovely shades of various colors. The beautiful designs and colors of this Sultanabad make it an undoubtedly timeless piece.
