One Of The More Balanced Pieces Of New Production, The Small Workshop That Produced This Piece Used A Rare Pattern For Its Kind With A Unique Alternating Series Of Rotated Emblems Seldom Seen Among Samarkand Antiques. The Hand-Knotted Wool Pile Is Only Mildly Stressed In Tan Brown, Bright Blue, And Off-White/Cream, Alternating In A Particularly Mesmeric Sequence Throughout The Cloud Band Border (A Nod To Select Khotan Pieces Featuring Buddhist And Japanese Imagery).
