With European origins in Romania, the Bessarabian style was adopted in other regions that employed this notably elegant approach to florals in carpet design. Within this piece, four bouquets of roses sit within the center of a black background that includes splashes of dark brown. These bouquets feature red and blue roses, which are surrounded by green leaves. An interior border of flowers contains the center bouquets, with these smaller flowers appearing in orange and blue. In each corner, a pink-and-white flower sits.
