Eugène Louis Martin born in 1880 and died in 1954 in Geneva, originally from Sainte-Croix. Son of Louis Samuel, bank employee, and Julia Blanche Victoire Delomosne, director of a haute couture house in 1907.
Stockbroker (1898-1904), employee then director of the haute couture house founded by his mother (since 1912). Trained as a painter with Eugène Gilliard, an art he practiced as an amateur throughout his life. Close to the painters Maurice Barraud and Alexandre Blanchet. President of the Geneva section of the Society of Painters, Sculptors and Architects of Switzerland (1933-1944), then central president (1944-1952). Member of the Carouge artistic group "Le Falot". This piece has an attribution mark,
