Handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960, a rare 9x12 vintage Kilim believed to be of Bessarabian provenance.
On the Design: This grand work seems to exemplify those of its lineage while subtly innovating the style to a keen eye. The rich red plays naturally with greens and pinks addressing Nouveau-esque floral patterns in the field and black border alike, but a closer look reveals teal and even blue hints among muted colorway accents—a delicious feature in an already breathtaking work of art.
Further enjoying good condition, a collectible artisan work of rich presence and regal scale.
