Late 19th Century Antique Indian Agra Rug in Green and Burgundy With Medallion. Keivan Woven Arts/ rug KBE-17, country of origin / type: India / Agra, circa 1890
Measures: 9'3 x 11'8
This spectacular carpet was woven in Agra in the late 19th century and is the proud heir to the great tradition of Mughal court. Seldom do an Agra carpet of this age retain the perfection of condition and saturated colors. A center medallion design of lush, pale green, saffron, red/burgundy, and ivory repeats rhythmically across the green ground.
