Rare set of five O-Choko porcelain sake/tea cups from the 1950s-60s.
Dimensions: Height 11 cm, Diameter 5.5 cm.
Kisengame Souzumi Arita: This elegant set features cups on tall pedestals, adorned with a delicate and colorful floral pattern.
Both the upper rim and the base are accented with a gold trim. The interior of each cup is beautifully decorated with a deep blue hand-painted stylized floral motif.
The cups also showcase the Sukashibori technique, a traditional Japanese method for creating translucent patterns in porcelain. When held up to the light, these intricate designs become visible through the thin, semi-transparent material (see photos).
This set exemplifies the harmonious blend of natural elements, traditional Japanese aesthetics, and exceptional craftsmanship.
Beautiful as a decorative accent in your interior and perfect for enjoying your tea, sake, or coffee with even more style.
Each piece is marked on the bottom with the seal of Shobido Honten, Souzumi Saki Kiln, a renowned pottery studio in Arita, Japan, specializing in traditional porcelain. Known for its craftsmanship and dedication to preserving the traditional techniques of Arita porcelain. This piece has an attribution mark,
I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
