In addition to being a juried artist, I’m the Art Editor for SonderCultureMag and in issue #3, write about the … Read more In addition to being a juried artist, I’m the Art Editor for SonderCultureMag and in issue #3, write about the impact of abstract art and how artistic minds in free societies are more fluid. In the article, I use a Post WWII Pollack as an example of an unbridled exploration into the right brain. What he did on the canvas was groundbreaking, often only dripping paint and simply allowing it to be what it was.
This week, I decided to try the same exercise and in a limited palette of four colors on both the canvas and paper. This mixed media pair is what I came up with. And what did the paint wish to be? Canyon vistas. I’m really happy with the outcome and would be happy to keep it if I had more wall space.
This listing includes two 14x14 canvases shown only. The board and background of course, not included.
***This work is unique in that the two canvases can be turned and shown in 16 different combinations. The back is signed but fronts are not so that the two canvases can be turned to the buyer's liking. I've done a couple other "puzzle paintings" and plan to do more given these were well received.
