This contemporary example is carved from solid limestone with a ribbed texture suggestive of a squash or melon, traditional symbols of longevity and perpetuity. The drum swells with gently tapered sides and a flattened top bordered by a rounded lip. Anchoring its surroundings with the permanence of stone furniture, this limestone drum is ideal indoors or out as a stool, side table or garden seat.
