Louise Nevelson (September 23, 1899 – April 17, 1988) remains one of the most important figures in 20th-century American sculpture and one of the most important American female artists. Her work is in museum collections worldwide including The Brooklyn Museum, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (Smithsonian) The Jewish Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Solomon R.
