This painting by Van Bankston is a geometric abstraction with timeless appeal. The ever elegant palette of black and white defines an asymmetrical design that is balanced and suggestive of infinity. The painterly shapes meet with soft and blended edges forming a fresh take on the traditional checkerboard pattern.
The painting is signed on the back. Framing is not required, having clean canvas edges.
"I hope my art encourages the viewer to stop, pause, and take a breath. My art is an invitation to the pleasure of the present moment through the qualities of color, balance, line, form, and texture for a lifegiving and empowering experience."
