Gustaf Leek (1923-1986) collaborated with the Swedish glassworks Orrefors, founded in 1898, in the 1960s. This company was already recognized for the quality of its crystal and its know-how in art glassware.
During this collaboration, Leek, with his clean, avant-garde style, brought a new perspective to the company's traditional techniques, creating works that highlighted the transparency and light effects of crystal. This collaboration in the 1960s allowed Orrefors to strengthen its brand image and become fully part of the Scandinavian modernist movement.
