The new paint has been lightly distressed exposing the natural pine which gives the dining set a wonderful time worn look which fits their age. All the chairs have turned stretchers connecting the legs to reinforce the structure and help keep them tight and sturdy. The seat height is 18" and each of the padded pop out seats have been recently upholstered in black, but can easily be re-upholstered to create the look you desire. less
