Charles and Ray Eames Set of 6 'Bikini' Wire Frame Chairs, Vitra editions, 1980s This is a wonderful set of 6 DKR-2 ‘Bikini’ wire chairs by Charles and Ray Eames, made by Vitra in the late 1980s. Around 1950, amidst the hum of post-war optimism, Charles and Ray Eames embarked on a quest to reimagine the very essence of seating. The result of their relentless innovation was the wire chair, a marvel of modern design that married form and function with an elegance that spoke to the spirit of the age.
