It’s simply attractive, rough and elegant at the same time. Made in solid wood, most likely oak, with a nicely weathered surface showing traces of the original lacquer. It will look apealling in any space, as a decorative element. This piece comes in a wonderful original patina. There even is a nearly identical ladder available, they used to be attached to one another. One wonders how many times was it climbed up and down, when, after many years it retired and became such a characteristic piece? See less
