He became Zheng, … Read more Contemporary wood carving of the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, founder of the Qin Dynasty. He became Zheng, the King of Qin when he was thirteen, then China's first emperor when he was 38. This piece is carved from a solid piece of wood, species undetermined, and stained. Right hand appears to have been designed to hold another piece. The statue is in good condition, with no cracks or flaws, and with wear commensurate with use and age. This item is approximately 48" tall and weighs 70 lbs. The base is 16" x 12". Estimated age is mid 20th century. Actual age is unknown. See less
